  • Overview

    Responsible for providing strategic, operational and thought leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans and oversight of implementation of plans and policies for the Neighborhood Connections to Health Coalition (NC)

    Responsibilities

    • Supports organizations’ mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
    • Participates in strategic planning development for NC in collaboration with NC Steering/Advisory Committee
    • Responsible for supervision of staff who are directly involved in community engagement strategies that increase participation of local community members in the Coalition
    • Establishes and nurtures effective and collaborative relationships with leaders of the community, healthcare organizations, government agencies, business leaders, landlords, local social service agencies, schools, Faith-based leaders, and community members.
    • Responsible for new grant applications, financial management and oversight of Coalition budget in collaboration with Visiting Nurse Association Health Group (VNAHG) Grants Accountant Director and Coalition Steering Committee members
    • Responsible for leading the Coalition into developing and submitting application for 501(c)3 status

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, Business with emphasis on project management or related field
    • 3-5 years working at a senior staff level position with management experience
    • Solid track record in business, financial and operations management
    • Demonstrates a highly collaborative, team oriented work style
    • Ability to work effectively with an Advisory Board and other stakeholders
    • Knowledge of 501(c)3 application process is preferred but not required
    • Must be comfortable being a highly visible leader, collaborative as a colleague and progressive as a driver of population health
    • Excellent computer and organizational skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
