Position Summary:

Responsible for providing supervision and leadership of WIC staff to ensure WIC Program services are provided to eligible participants


Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
  2. Delivers a high level of customer service to assure positive patient experience
  3. Provides technical support and assistance to WIC Program staff
  4. Ensures compliance with clinic standards, infection control, OSHA and safety standards
  5. Coordinates with WIC Program Manager in development of Nutrition Education Plan, outreach plan and daily WIC Program operations
  6. Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
  7. Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
  8. Supervises staff in conjunction with the organization’s managerial/leadership practices


Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree in Nutrition, Public Health or related area with 2 years WIC experience OR registered dietitian with 1 year WIC experience
  2. Approval from NJ State WIC Office required
  3. Experience with culturally diverse population
  4. Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  5. Computer experience preferred
  6. Valid drivers license


Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Busy clinic environment at various locations in the community; ability to carry/lift 40 lbs; requires setting up tables and chairs; requires transporting supplies and equipment to WIC clinics; responsible for laptop and related equipment
