We are currently looking for a Nutrition Educator to join our team. This position would be responsible for providing support services to the WIC certification process and food delivery of food benefits to eligible participants assisting in Nutrition Education.

1. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
2. Delivers a high level of customer service to assure positive patient experience
3. Conducts nutrition presentations at WIC clinics and health fairs
4. Obtains, verifies and documents participant information and keeps information confidential
5. Obtains anthropometric measurements and blood work for participants
6. Maintains accurate records of nutrition presentations and presents a written evaluation quarterly
7. Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
8. Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
9. Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

1. Associates Degree in Nutrition; Dietetic Technician Registered by CDR of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
2. Experience working with culturally diverse population
3. Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
4. Approval from NJ State WIC Office required (per WIC program grant requirements)
5. Valid State Driver's license

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Busy clinic environment at various locations in the community; ability to carry/lift 40 lbs; requires setting up tables and chairs; requires transporting supplies and equipment to WIC clinics; responsible for laptop and related equipment
