Per Diem LPN – Vaccinator;  External Health Services Mobile Team

We are currently looking for a Bilingual Per-Diem LPN  to join our Children and Family Health Institutue (CFHI) team for a multi-county mobile health services team.  The position would be responsible for providing COVID testing, COVID vaccines administration,  flu shot administration , and blood pressure screening for clients of all ages at various mobile event sites throughout Monmouth, Ocean and Middlesex counties.  Multiple shifts available! 

 

 

Responsibilities

Among other key responsibilities for the per diem LPN, beyond COVID testing and flu shot administration:

 

  • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.
  • Assists provider with patient workflow and maintains accurate clinical records
  • Triages clients appropriately to ensure quality care is provided to patients
  • Performs related duties as directed in accordance with the standard operating procedures
  • Maintains required log books and records as well as laboratory proficiency
  • Assists in coordination, management and documentation of medications, supplies, and referrals
  • Utilizes opportunities for client teaching of individuals, families, and community groups
  • Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
  • Participates in community outreach to promote CFHI/CHC services and programs
  • Supervises or works in concert with LPNs and CMAs in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership policies and procedures
  • Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

 

Qualifications

The per diem LPN will have the following qualifications:

 

  • LPN
  • 2+ years of clinical nursing experience
  • Bilingual/Spanish
  • 1+ year of ambulatory care experience at a Community Health Center preferred
  • Current CPR certification
  • Venipuncture certification preferred
  • Car and valid NJ driver’s license

 

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors with client/customer contact and use of thermometer, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, venipuncture equipment, centrifuge, emergency and oxygen equipment, nebulizer, EKG, weight scales – pediatric and adult, measuring tapes and devices, photocopier, facsimile machine, printer, postage meter, computer
