Regional Hospice Director

The VNA Health Group, is seeking a Regional Hospice Director. This position will be responsible for coordinating complex transitional care to patients referred to VNA Hospice. Responsibility includes oversight of admission process at the regional office, with focus on converting referrals to admissions timely, and with high quality care.

Responsibilities

 

  • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
  • Provides direction and operational leadership to the regional offices with regard to the hospice admission process.
  • Monitors the quality and appropriateness of services provided by the regional teams to ensure total patient satisfaction.
  • Manages the development of the agency growth and serves as a liaison between the regional offices, internal and external individuals or groups , including Medical directors.
  • Ensures the regional offices’ compliance with the recommendations of regulatory, agency guidelines, licensing and accrediting agencies  
  • Manages the overall budget for the regional teams and ensures they meet their monthly budget targets, as it relates to admissions, census and conversions.
  • Works closely with Director of referral services to maintain positive relationship with hospitals, facilities and physician offices and internal VNAHG teams.
  • Works closely with Intake Manager to monitor trends, with regard to admissions and conversions and makes timely changes to improve conversions.
  • Assignments as needed

Qualifications

 

  • RN with BSN; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of hospice experience
  • Prior management experience with demonstrated ability to supervise others
  • Strong leadership skills   
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

 

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Business Office Environment with phone and computer use; requires extensive travel to the regional locations
