We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. The position would be responsible for  providing occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to patients in their homes or alternate community settings within Bergen County, NJ

Responsibilities

  1. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers.
  2. Assesses and evaluates client for occupational therapy needs and develops and implements appropriate plan of action in collaboration with the physician
  3. Documents all changes in client’s condition and updates care plans and outcomes accordingly
  4. Identifies counseling needs and plans appropriate teaching strategies
  5. Monitors quality and appropriateness of services provided
  6. Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
  7. Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
  8. Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

Qualifications

  1. Occupational Therapy Licensure in NJ with AOTA certification required
  2. 2-3 years of prior clinical experience and community based experience preferred
  3. Strong computer skills  
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Valid NJ driver's license

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors/outdoors, driving, lifting, sitting, standing, walking, fine motor hand movement, use of phone and tablet for documentation
