Overview

Responsible for effective and impactful communication across all internal and external stakeholders, with an emphasis on community outreach. This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position with time spent both in-office and in the communities served by VNACJ CHC.

Responsibilities

  1. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers up, down, and across the organization
  2. Provides administrative support to the CHC executive team, committees and subcommittees, and others as determined by the CEO
  3. Functions as the liaison to VNACJ CHC Board of Trustees, coordinating high-impact and efficient monthly meetings; provides administrative support to Board subcommittees
  4. Coordinates and assists in executing the creation of content for internal and external marketing communications to support VNACJ CHC goals, solicit donations, build brand awareness, and enhance CHC patient experience
  5. Writes original content for website, social media, marketing collateral, newsletters, and other internal/external communications
  6. Oversees the Community Outreach team, to include patient navigators and community outreach specialists/community health workers utilizing effective people management skills to drive engagement and performance
  7. Designs the overall community outreach strategy to create awareness of CHC programs and services, as well as drive referrals to health centers, programs, and service lines
  8. Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, payers, and other healthcare entities
  9. Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, public health or related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred
  2. 3+ years of experience in related field required
  3. Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
  4. Excellent writing/storytelling skills with ability to participate in message development and implementation
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with patients, community members, internal and external stakeholders Extraordinary attention to detail and eye for accuracy, in addition to excellent organization and time management skills
  6. Flexibility to orchestrate, participate, and attend events throughout the week including evenings and weekends; travel throughout Monmouth County required
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with patients, community members, internal and external stakeholders
