The VNA Health Group is seeking a Full Time Home Health Aide to join our dedicated Homecare Team in Bergen County.

Responsibilities

  • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
  • Provides personal care services as established in the plan of care
  • Assists patients with mobilization and rehabilitation
  • Communicates with patients and their families on a regular basis
  • Submits completed required documentation as per agency policy and procedures
  • Ensures compliance of agency infection control and safety policies as well as emergency procedures and their application
  • Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

Qualifications

  • Home Health Aide certification required
  •  High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Car and a valid driver’s license

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors with client/customer contact; use of specific equipment as braces, bedpan, crutches, electrical bed, hoyer lift, personal automobile, walker, wheelchair, household appliances, vacuum cleaner etc. must be able to lift fifty pounds (50 lbs.)
