VNA’s Children and Family Health Institute (CFHI) is seeking a highly-skilled leader and manager to serve as Vice President. The VP provides professional leadership, organized structure and oversees all of the CFHI’s policies and program staff to meet with the strategic goals set by VNA’s President and CEO and Board of Trustees.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic relationships and partnerships with key executives, NJ State and County leaders, community leaders, schools, and health departments.
  • Create and implement new programs that significantly impact health outcomes.
  • Support the growth and integration of CFHI programs by serving as a liaison between internal VNA Health Group departments and external individuals or groups.
  • Develop joint strategies for inclusive health access and equity.
  • Drive strategic planning and spearhead the identification and implementation of vital new grant opportunities, ensuring alignment with program guidelines to secure essential funding and resources for impactful initiatives.
  • Inspire and motivate the Children & Family Health Institute Directors and Managers, driving employee engagement and retention through visionary leadership and exceptional managerial practices.
  • Offer professional leadership, organized structure, and oversight of all CFHI policies and program staff to meet the strategic goals set by VNA’s President, CEO, and Board of Trustees.

Qualifications

Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related field preferred, preferably Masters in Public Health
  • Registered Nurse, LCSW, or Dietician would be helpful
  • Strong project manager across multiple projects with clear expectations for timelines and deliverables and the ability to provide staff support
  • 10+ years of experience working with community collaborations and Children and Family Grant Programs
  • 10+ years of prior management experience; ability to influence and engage direct and director reports and peers
  • Demonstrates a highly collaborative, team oriented work style
  • Knowledge of policy and issues related to child and family well-being and/or information technology
  • Highly adaptable, positive, resilient, respectful, risk-taker who is open to new ideas, and a team player
  • Must be comfortable being a highly visible leader, collaborative as a colleague and progressive as a driver of integrated community and public health initiatives
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Work indoors and outdoors with phone and computer use
