Overview

Under the direction of the Controller | Director of Nonclinical Services and the VNACJ CHC executive team, the Per Diem Project Manager is responsible for the oversight and administrative management of specific projects as part of the organization’s strategic plan.

Responsibilities

  1. Applies evidence-based project management principles and techniques to effectively manage and progress multiple high-priority projects simultaneously (i.e., Critical Path Method, Waterfall, Scrum, Gantt charts, etc.)
  2. Leads effective and efficient meetings with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring results of said meetings are clearly documented and impacts reflected in the overall project plan / timeline.
  3. Ensures that project completion is in line with all relevant regulatory standards and requirements.
  4. Monitors budgetary status and compliance.
  5. Requests clarification and additional information when needed.
  6. Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job, with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues up, down, and across the organization.
  7. Receives direction from the Controller | Director of Nonclinical Services and executive team regarding projects in need of execution and oversight.
  8. Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position.

Qualifications

  1. Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Hospital Health Care, Medical Administration, or a related program.
  2. Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification, or similar qualification preferred, but not required.
  3. Five to eight years of experience in health care administration with strong working knowledge of community health center administration, laws, and regulations pertaining to community health center operations.
  4. Demonstrated understanding and application of project management techniques, including but not limited to Critical Path Method, Waterfall, Scrum, Gantt charts, etc.
  5. Strong knowledge of HRSA FQHC Community Health Center regulations and funding.
  6. Thorough understanding of information technology and ability to organize, analyze, and synthesize complex data from various sources.
  7. Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  8. Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrated by effectively communicating with peers, staff and outside contacts.
  9. Car and valid driver’s license.
