As the Medical Assistant Supervisor, based in Asbury Park, you will be at the forefront of driving excellence in patient care across four CHC locations. Responsibilities

  • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with colleagues up, down, and across the organization
  • Assists in professional development of all Certified Medical Assistant staff; designs and executes training programs as needed
  • Supervises assigned CMA’s in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership practices
  • Provides clinical oversight of the services provided by the Certified Medical Assistants across the organization through direct observation and formal competency assessment, in conjunction with the Nurse Manager
  • Monitors task boxes, inboxes, scanning needs, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks, in conjunction with Senior Certified Medical Assistants; deploys support and resources where needed to stay current with these tasks
  • Assists with oversight of the environment of care, ensuring adherence to CHC infection control and safety policies and procedures; monitors employee performance in the same
  • Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
  • Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved school with current national certification from an approved certifying body
  • 2+ years of medical assistant experience preferred
  • 1+ Supervisory experience required
  • Experience in EKG and phlebotomy
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian Creole) preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.
