We are seeking a WIC Program Generalist to provide essential support in the WIC certification process and ensure eligible participants receive food benefits. Based in our Perth Amboy location, this full-time role is perfect for someone passionate about public health, customer service, and helping families thrive. • Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
• Delivers a high level of customer service to assure positive patient experience
• Schedules WIC appointments
• Obtains, verifies and documents participant information
• Obtains anthropometric measurements and blood work for participants
• Maintains inventory logs for blood work, blood work controls and cuvettes
• Distributes WIC checks 
• Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
• Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
• Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

• High school diploma/GED
• Experience with culturally diverse population
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Valid drivers license

Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Busy clinic environment at various locations in the community; ability to carry/lift 40 lbs; requires setting up tables and chairs; requires transporting supplies and equipment to WIC clinics; responsible for laptop and related equipment

 

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $33,280 to USD $87,500.08. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
